Technical Panel Discussion of the Webinar on Coconut Husk, Cocopeat, and Activated Carbon

International Coconut Community (ICC) in collaboration with International Trade Centre (ITC) organized a follow up panel discussion on 2 November 2021 to clarify and reinforce learning on “Coconut husk, Cocopeat and Activated Carbon”, webinar which was held on 12 October 2021. There were 55 people who participated in the discussion, including senior officers, industry development partners, and farmers from the African and Caribbean countries.

Third-Day Highlights of the Session and Ministerial Meeting

The main agenda of the 3rd day of the Session was the ICC Annual Report which included highlights of 2020, updates of activities of 2021. The report was presented by Dr. Jelfina C. Alouw, Executive Director with the global scenario of Coconut. The Session also discussed the various programs and projects proposed to be undertaken by ICC during  CY 2022.

Highlights of the 2nd Day of the Session and Ministerial Meeting

The second day of the Session began with playing the video of the Federated States of Micronesia. The Session continued with the Country Statements presentation by Plenipotentiary Delegates from Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Tonga. The country papers helped in understanding the developmental work undertaken by countries and identifying the replicable models for customized implementation in other countries. They helped in the exchange of ideas and technology and paved the way for possible collaborations between member countries.
