New ICC-COGENT Coordinator Resumes Office

Mrs. Erlene C. Manohar has resumed office of ICC as the new ICC-COGENT Coordinator, who has recently stepped down from her long-serving post as Deputy Administrator from the Philippines Coconut Authority. She began her new post working initially remotely, on Monday 4th October 2021. The informal welcome and introduction to her induction on the day was attended by ICC’s executives and professional staffs; Dr. Carmel A. International Certificate Course for Coconut Development Officers Kick Started

The 3rd International Certificate Course for Coconut Development Officers started virtually on 4th October and will be concluded on 5th November 2021.  The course is conducted by Coconut Research Institute of Sri Lanka (CRISL) in association with the International Coconut Community (ICC). The virtual course is being conducted for 23 days covering 45 lectures in 63 hours.  The first two courses were conducted successfully in 2018 and 2019 at CRISL Campus.

Online Training and Technical Panel Discussion on Coconut Sugar & Nata de Coco

International Coconut Community(ICC) in collaboration with International Trade Centre (ITC) organized an online training on 3rd August on Processing and Marketing of Coconut Sugar; Coconut Jelly-Nata de Coco. Panel discussions on the topics to clarify and reinforce learning conducted on 24th September . The training is part of the MoU executed between ICC and the ITC with the purpose to establish a framework of engagement and cooperation between ITC and the ICC to develop mechanisms for transferring technology relating to value-added coconut products, under the project “Alliances for the Coconut Industry Development Expansion and Enhanced Support for the Caribbean”.
